Sekolah Rendah

Funnylah cerita kawan I sorang ni.

Cerita dia macam ni, my latest batch of cats we name them Bush, Obama and Kobay. Nama-nama powerful presidents of each generation. Saja je because kita pernah try bagi  from nama exotic Awang Liku sampai the most cliché Cinta. I pun pernah published our cats’ Geni family tree on facebook bt after a while kita tarik balik because ni politics takut juga nanti apa-apa jadi. So whoever yang sempat baca tu tahulah. Tapi tu cerita lama kita tak bother dah.

Then, lately kita baru try baking2 ni. Jinak2 since my auntie baru ada oven yang ala professional. Kita punya kat rumah setakat reheat food tu bolehlah. So, kita pun dgn excitednya publish statuses everytime cakes kita menjadi. Saja je, macam cool kan.

Nak dijadikan cerita, kawan kita ni pun tiba2 ada publish gambar chocolate cookies dia kat facebook.  Tapi masa tu kita tak ambil port cuma adalah rasa deep down macam sometg snapped. Tapi chillah kan. Next, aiseh publish gambar cake pulak. Sekali dgn package, dia keluar status that reads Hitler dia yang juga seekor kucing suka makan cake dia. Dush terbaik. Kita ada Bush dia ada jugak. Hitler lagi. HAHAHA kelakarlah hidup penuh kebetulan. Tapi kalau betul kita ni inspirasi dia kita pun turut tumpang gembira. Apa apa pun kelakarlah you ni semua pun nak together gether.

Nyeh nyeh nyeh,

Yellow is the new green

My dad and I had a good political talk over dinner. He did all the talking while mom and I listened, at first. Of course, there were inevitable flashes of vibes -which usually occurs over things this serious, so we debated. He cleared most things off with the awareness this child is only being appointed views to politically cultivate and rightly point her out. Whether she was to make a stand or not, he’ll rest his case. But either way it will still remain a choice.

What matters most is to think what justice requires, and decide accordingly.  Yet never give your reasons. For your judgments will probably be right but your reasons, will certainly be wrong. Still they say peacefulness follows any decision, even the wrong one Therefore I decided to go against it even if it takes me to advocate and demonstrate our household’s inaugural father-daughter cold war. Tettt are you kidding me?

The BIG B easy-to-guide steps:

Set up party- baby bash, birthday, bachelor party
Get unlimited resources- financial, intellectuals, planners local and international
Set a theme- maybe I wear red you wear blue. Nahh yellows better its the new green
Invite crowd to make some noise- bffs, relatives, irrelatives, neighbours, VIPs, Medias
Get together and play some water balloons fight
Snap some pictures, post videos on youtubes
And don’t forget to have an amiga moment everyone I mean, omigah moment

Respect yourself,

Smart Ward

Some claim that it seems all my life, I barely struggled to be where I am now.  With a good background and undeclared hardships, you’d think I was always seconds away from everything I wanted.  BUT just like you, I earned every fruit I bore. Of course life is not always wine and roses, so when things went wrong I had to get inspired. Who among others inspired me the most besides Thomas Hillier?- I’ve posted an article about him previously- are Gemma Ward and Elizabeth Smart.

GEMMA WARD

"She's an exotic blonde, the rarest of creatures."

Ward's brush with modeling was an accidental one. She was discovered in 2002, at the age of fourteen, while accompanying her friends to the Australian modeling competition Search For a Supermodel. As she said herself in a Teen Vogue interview, she ended up being scouted herself:
"I had come straight from my auntie and uncle's farm, and I was wearing this big gray barn jacket with mud all over it. When the scout came up to me, I said, 'No, thank you.' They forged my mum's signature (for mandatory parental consent), and pushed me in front of the cameras."
Her older sister, Sophie Ward, was a model, but stopped because she thought it was boring.
2000-2007

Gemma is one of the very, very few models who look as though they come from another dimension- British photographer Nick Wright. Her appearance later inspired a new generation of baby doll-like models. In September 2004 at only sixteen, Ward became the youngest model to appear on American Vogue as one of the nine Models of the Moment.

And at 17, she became the famous face of Calvin Klein’s Obsession Night perfume billboards bumping Kate Moss out of a job in the process. Ward was reportedly paid $1.3 million for the Calvin Klein campaign and counted similar deals with Burberry and Valentino.
In September 2005, Ward secured a coveted place on the inaugural cover of Vogue China posing between Chinese models Du Juan and Wang Wenqin. A staggering 300,000 copies sold in the first three hours.. "She is every inch blue chip," Vivien's agent Suzie Deveridge said. Right now she's considered the No. 2 model in the world and she isn't even 18 yet.
By 2006 Ward became Australia's brightest fashion star since Elle Macpherson. At the age of 18, Ward became the first model ever to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue magazine.
In October 2007 Ward appeared on the cover of the very first issue of Vogue India, centered between Bollywood actresses Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra. The cover was photographed by photographer Patrick Demarchelier (who also photographed her in Vogue China) and it became the second time Ward has appeared on an inaugural issue. Vogue Paris declared her one of the top 30 models of the 2000s.(Source: Wikipedia)

Elizabeth Smart was likewise, managed to secure a place as a cover girl but unlike Ward’s glorious entries, Smart wind up on the cover of People magazine to finally reveal some of the secrets of her abduction six years ago. The young girl sparked a nationwide search fury when she was abducted from her Salt Lake City, Utah home and snatched from her bedroom on June 5, 2002 at the age of 14. Unlike most of the stories of child abductions that move past a few days, this one had a miracle ending.

Amazingly, Elizabeth Smart was found alive a full nine months later on March 12, 2003 in Sandy, Utah. In a stunning development she was held captive less than twenty miles from her home, in the company of Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Ileen Barzee. The pair would later be indicted for her kidnapping but ruled unfit to stand trial. There are still ongoing battles to bring them in front of a jury.

Smart spoke of being forced to drink alocohol and smoke marijuana, which disgusted her. She has said she was forced to “marry” Mitchell in an impromptu ceremony shortly after the kidnapping and that he would often beg her for sex, angering his accomplice Wanda Barzee, who was jealous of the attention Mitchell gave Smart.

Remaining poised throughout her testimony, Smart detailed her nightmarish nine months with Mitchell and Barzee. She said that at one point she was confronted by a police officer looking for Elizabeth Smart and he wanted to look under the veil Mitchell made her wear. She said she was so afraid of Mitchell’s death threats that she didn’t speak up and was heartsick that the officer wasn’t more persistent. The officer, Det. Ron Richey, has said he was devastated to learn later that he had been looking right at Smart and didn’t do more to help her.

When she was finally rescued, she initially denied her identity out of fear that Mitchell would make good on his death threats. Barzee pleaded guilty to federal kidnapping charges last year and was later sentenced to 15 years in prison.

If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies

Some of the most memorable lessons in life come from stories. Whether they are hands down, whose tellers didn’t live long to tell their tales first hands or stories that teach, whether the storyteller intends them to or not. But the most powerful stories of all are real life stories, inspirational pieces that exceeded our personal expectations done by someone we knew close. This, is a story about an average woman, whom you might once parked next to at traffic lights or seen crying sending her kid off abroad like every other mother. She is the same person, who helps to bridge dreams into realizations. She who breaks her wall of reluctance for actions to take place.

By believing in taking care of the little things and the big things will take care of themselves, she starts small. Writing, singing, marketing are not of her best gifts but she knows too well she has a wardrobe full of unwanted clothes. So she begins to give away every wear she outgrows to the needy. To make herself worthy, she finds time to ensure she delivers to the most rightful recipients she can think of. One of them is her office boy. Little did she know, by then she is the change she wants to see in this world.

With a family of 7 includes himself, he is willing to perform even the most degrading of tasks conditioned they are rightful to his religion -when he is no longer able to change a situation, he is challenged to change himself. So he works harder and fate brings him to where she is working. They met, and from there she slowly learns the hardships this man is going through especially when now his triplets manage to secure a place at a boarding school at the early age of ten. He might know little of life but he knows the roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet so he swallows all burden for education is the only most powerful weapon which his children can use to change their future.

She knows well the troubles he’s being through for she has three of her own. She presents the triplets her girls’ kurungs so that they can where them at school. After a semester, the father went to meet her and to her surprise she was told that her gifts had affected them so much, they wore the kurungs every time they made trips back and forth to their school. Being fortunate with health and wealth, these further enable her to provide her kids with auxiliary supplements and what pleases her most is she is aware now how every penny she spends on her girls, will later benefit others in the long run.

She hopes to see even more changes in the world thus, she acts because action is what you do to make a difference.

I too, want to make a difference so I began reading. I was looking at words all of the time lo learn languages. And since I had to put words together, I learned grammar and syntax. Then it wasn’t such an amazing thing that people could write a good essay, causing me to use my imagination. I had to think. I began to have a very different impression of who I was. I began to know things that nobody else around knew. That gave me the thought that maybe through the development of that intellect, and my faith in God, I could really make an impact. I want to make an impact. I need to make an impact.

"You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren’t exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared. Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn’t returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges-giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?”

Thank you mama

Alhamdulillah I had so much fun today. Since nadia is home for her overnight stay of the month, we decided to have a brisk trip around kuantan’s east coast mall. The initial plan was to grab nadia’s aqua/oyster skimmer. She set her eyes on this particular eversince the previous month but it was out of stock for her size back then. I love them too. They’re surprisingly feather-light for its sturdy physical state. The colour is not only nice and refreshing but most importantly it is appropriate for her age as an early teen.

As for our astonishment, it’s happened to be crocs anniversary. So upon payment, to our delightful, we were given a set of their birthday kit- set of five of birthday cups, pointy hats, whistling blow-outs, serviettes and table cloth. They are all in identical silver given away in their casing. I think it is a pleasant surprise and I LOVE IT! Yaya also bought a black slack cos she needs it and she bought another slack one of the same colour different brand cos she WANTS it. Heh

On the upperhand momma got herself a new parfum! Japanese Cherry Blossom. Yaya managed ( I DON’T KNOW HOW DID SHE DO IT) herself a new Dreams Limited  out of the blue. Both smell nice to my liking so by the end of the day, I don't really mind yaya at all. She sort of has pretty good taste. Still, she's a late bloomer.

Finally let us settled on my treats J Mama got me a couple of new books from a book fare.  The fare was held for charity by NGO’s, so purely on that purpose they gave away 1 free book for every two books purchased.  Eventually, I won myself three books today. Yeah

Last but not least, I got me a Nicole and Jeep each. We had a great time together and I guess that is what counts the most. Loves in the air, rnd.rss !
